Blog #3 Group Communications

Group projects or working with a group can be scary. I do not mind them and believe they can be genuinely beneficial. When working with coworkers, an evioment is created; often, Executive isolation happens between a manager or a boss. The rest of the employees could sometimes pull away from conflict and being around their boss. Creating a lousy environment, people only see for a short time.

My current job is a nonprofit, and I enjoy working in jobs that use communication skills. This, along with always being willing to develop and change for the majority. No matter what conflict or uncomfortable situations arise when working in groups, especially in your career. That still being said, when you share a mission statement and goal, you can stay on track. In my job at Teens Grow Greens, development and listening to everyone is crucial. I am a Marketing Apprentice and work with a team with a diverse background. However, we appreciate each opinion and outlook and have good listening skills. My manager and I sometimes have differing views about posting times on Instagram or how long a post should be. However, it's not uncomfortable, but we learn or find common ground. This has also led to my manager wanting me to help him on staff next apprenticeship. With planning and a good leader, an environment where people are willing to share their opinions is excellent for effective communication.
