Technology I use Daily

Prompt:  Identify a technology that you use daily. Name it. Then, describe your personal relationship to it. How use using it make you feel? What meaning does it bring to your life? 

I use my phone daily; it is the most useful technology in my life. Phones are the most diverse and complex technology we have access to daily. Now having an understanding of the outcomes of this course I feel I will learn a lot. I care about people and interactions, and use technology to do so but do not think deeply about emerging technologies and how beneficial it is to me. 

I work in marketing so I am surrounded by technology and could benefit from learning how new technology could be of use in marketing. I use Zoom, shared calendars, and emails to communicate with my coworkers. My main job is working with cameras and posting to social media and these are all different forms of technology always changing. 

   

On a personal level, I am always on TikTok or streaming videos to my tv. I spend a lot of my time online and I can neglect how much technology is really around me and that I use. I think coming from a generation where I grew up at the same time a lot of new life-changing technology was emerging effects how big you see it. 

 

I am not very interested in technology or how it works, but I am interested in how emerging technology can help us as a community flourish and learn.
